We’re excited to have independent designer Jessica Oddi join us for a workshop on accessible social media design best practices. This is a free event for anyone at any creative level who’s interested in learning about accessibility in visual design:

Jessica Oddi (@oddi.jessica) is a freelance designer from Hamilton ON Canada (situated upon the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas). She focuses on branding and websites with a passion for accessibility, inclusion and disability representation. Jessica also runs The Disabled Life (@thedisabledlife) with her sister Lianna and is currently building a space for the Access Design Collective, to highlight disabled creatives and invite diverse perspectives through one-on-one conversations.

From tax season headaches to retirement unknowns, we’ve partnered up with Justin Bridges of Freelance Kills so demystify the financials of independent life. Join us for a workshop around tax tips and how to plan for retirement. The event will include a Q&A section so make sure to bring your questions!

Justin Bridges is a photographer, educator, and serial tinkerer. He’s been a professional photographer for 7 years, and has taught 6 classes on Skillshare (5 on photography and 1 on personal finance). He’s hosted weekly “ask me anything” sessions on Instagram giving people the opportunity to ask for advice with finance, freelance, and entrepreneurship for almost a year. Up next, he’s launching a skin care brand called Wade, and an experiential collective called Studio Rider.

Our panel, “Are they the one? A 101 on finding your business partner” will take a look at the journey that tech & business influencer Alex Wolf and her business partner Travis Weekes of Driven Society went on to shape their creative business partnership. From the beginnings to where they are now, the conversation will be moderated by Tina Yip, founder of Strtgst.
