Customer Data and Insight scope of work total: $8,350

Phase 1: Research and Discovery for $1,750

The project kicks off with a deep dive into the initial background materials provided by the client so you can get a better understanding of the work that’s been done to date and identify any initial opportunities for improvement. 

This phase should also include a kickoff call where you’ll walk the client through an introductory presentation that goes over your process, potential scenarios, and questions that will help set clear goals. This is a valuable piece of the puzzle that will set the tone for the rest of the project, so our template recommends pricing this call at $1,500.

Phase 2: Data Collection and Synthesis for $4,200

Time for the fun part: collecting all of the customer data. 

From conducting interview preparation sessions to creating a customer survey, this phase is where a bulk of the project work will take place. In addition to the preparation work involved, our template recommends including 5-10 customer interviews in your scope of work.

When it comes to price, our template recommends charging a total of $4,200 for this portion of the project. Customer data is your expertise and the work that will happen during this phase may take *a lot* of time. Those two elements — expertise and time — are two components to consider when coming up with a value-based pricing system.

Phase 3: Reporting and Recommendations for $2,400

To wrap up the project, you’ll dig into all of the data you collected and synthesize it into a wrap-up report that “provides a window into what customers like, dislike, need, and feedback to be improved on the client’s product or service” according to our scope of work template

The report is a culmination of all of the work you did and will help identify critical initiatives and a clear path of execution for the client moving forward. All that to say, this report brings a ton of value to the client so the price should reflect that!
